Here are snapshots of some of the work we have done on specific diversity and civil rights issues or with specific population groups. 

Outreach Efforts

In 2009, over fifty VISTA members:

  • Attended 207 events in more than 20 cities across Iowa
  • Reached 26,475 people
  • Distributed 28,291 resources and promotional items

In 2008, twenty-one VISTA members:

  • Attended 125 events in 17 cities across Iowa
  • Reached 21,750 people
  • Distributed 54,248 items (including 495 newsletters, 898 fact sheets, 6056 kids handouts, 6386 mangets, 19,753 brochures, and 20,744 promotional items
