WATERLOO - They've surveyed many of the community's middle school students to probe attitudes about racism and bullying. Now St. Edward's School sixth-graders are figuring out what those answers mean. Sarahmarie Hardy's students wrote the 31 questions for a survey handed out to all sixth- through eighth-graders at three Cedar Valley Catholic schools and one unnamed Waterloo public middle school, nearly 900 in all. The effort is part of a service learning project that will culminate with a presentation to the Waterloo Commission on Human Rights.
